I’d rearrange our living room or my own room, frequently getting rid of things we didn’t need or organizing all the drawers in the kitchen for my mom.

Fast forward to this day, I look back and realize that most of the times I did any major decluttering and organizing was when I was facing challenges and feeling emotional. The really cool thing about this process was that it always helped me feel better. I felt lighter, brighter, I appreciated my surroundings and home more, and it created more safety for me internally.

I know this to be true: living with clutter in our physical surroundings can often mirror our internal landscape. A simple decluttering or organization of one item or area has the power to uplift us emotionally and we feel more spacious around us and on the inside. This is the juicy spot.
